This series of works was inspired by this John Lennon quote, which is apt for these times and very current in terms of the conflicts and the transition we are experiencing.

The black canvas ‘Religion’: Love is the answer what was the question… represents the power wielded by the
church, both past and present. Many wars have been fought in the name of religion. The figure of Christ in
black reflects this dark side, in contrast with hope and love as symbolised by the dove’s feather.
